Welcome!

Kaja graduated from the Maui School of Therapeutic Massage in 2010 with a focus on Hawaiian Lomi-Lomi massage as well as Neuromuscular Therapy (NMT).

She studied NMT under Jim Hackett who was inducted in 2014 into the Massage Therapist Hall of Fame. He would say “Massage is the perfect blend of both science and art.”

NMT can treat chronic pain due to posture imbalances (kyphosis/lordosis) or pain due to accidents for example, whiplash. It uses pain referral patterns to target specific muscle groups which are overused and tight, therefore bringing balance back to the body.

Lomi-Lomi is a traditional Hawaiian massage which applies medium pressure, and mimics the rhythm of the waves in the ocean. Lomi-Lomi is a sacred form of art as well as powerful bodywork which Hawaiians have passed down from generation to generation. It can be practiced with or without hot stones.

Later in her career Kaja studied manual lymphatic drainage, MLD, in Boulder, Colorado. This massage is helpful in reducing lymphedema but it can also be used to help with anxiety or insomnia.

Massage can be used for a number of reasons from relaxation to lowering pain. Whichever massage modality you choose the benefits are many like improving sleep and digestion, reducing migraines, improving posture and more.

The massage studio is located in between the Artist's Collective and Queenie's restaurant. It is a little tan studio with a picnic table in front.
